Melissa Montgomery joined Urban Genesis in 2019 and serves as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing business operations and shared services for our vertically integrated platform, including accounting, asset management, human resources, and information technology.

Melissa brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience to the Urban Genesis team. Before joining Urban Genesis, Melissa was a controller for real estate investment funds at Lionstone Investments and Campus Living Villages, where she specialized in consolidated financial reporting, MD&A, and systems integration.

Melissa received a BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University and a JD from the University of Houston. She enjoys traveling with her family, building Legos with her son, and playing the ukulele.
